Jawahar got his Ph.D. in Physics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, India in 2004. He worked as UGC FIP substitute Lecturer at Farook College Kozhikkode, India from December 2004 to March 2007. Then he is working from May 2007 till date as Assistant Professor in Physics at Department of Physics, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, India.
